About
Work Clubs help give support to those who are out of work whilst they are unemployed and do everything possible to get them back into the world of work just as quickly as possible. Over 300 have been set up across the UK in the past two years.
The National Work Clubs Network aims to bring together all those involved in Work Clubs up and down the UK, giving them the opportunity to share ideas, contacts, and good practice.
The Prime Minister has expressed his support for the National Work Clubs Network, and has said the following:
“I would encourage those involved in Work Clubs across the country to join in and support the national network.
I am sure that the network will enable those involved in delivering Work Clubs to benefit from each others’ ideas and experiences and further develop the support they offer to unemployed people independent of any over-prescription from Whitehall.”
David Cameron, Prime Minister.
The formal launch of the Network took place at the Royal Society for Arts in Central London on Friday 10 June from 10.30am – 1.30pm. To find out more, please click here.
